Extreme sports can evoke terror and excitement, sometimes in equal measures. There is a small part in all of us that wants to be brave and to achieve something. But human nature is to protect ourselves and if we are in danger we immediately try and stay alive and not harm ourselves!
These extreme sports can pump the adrenalin and work muscles you never knew you had. But organising a team building or corporate extreme sport event can really boost your teams spirit and individual confidence in the following ways:-
- Experiencing a once in a lifetime opportunity as a team can really bring people together through a common bond. A tandem parachute jump for example can teach the team to take the leap together at the same time and they have to work together to pull that chute!
- Overcoming fear. If you have some good team players that need a boost of confidence to really shine then engaging them in extreme sports is a really good way to achieve a sense of inner bravery.
- Positive Mental Attitude. Ab-sailing down a cliff or a bungee jump off a bridge are really scary extreme sports and once achieved will give your team the feeling of power and achievement.
- Healthy competition. A team event of extreme sports will certainly bring out some healthy competition between your team mates too, spurring each other to go that bit further and do their very best.
